Policy Change

Reflective Mail Box Numbers

At the September meeting of the Board of Directors of the Cypress Landing Homeowners Association, the Board passed a policy allowing the numbers on the mailbox to be either the current brass or a more reflective copper finish.

The history behind the policy change:

The HOA Board became aware that the current numbers located on the mailbox maybe difficult to read at night. This problem could potentially cause a delay in emergency services. There was a simple solution, although it would require a policy change in the Building guidelines.

Numbers of the same length and design could be purchased at Lowes for approximately $1.50 per number.  The only change in the reflective numbers was the finish of copper instead of the current brass.  This change in finish is barely noticeable from the street.  You may view the mailbox numbers at 106 Connecticut Drive on the right hand side of the mailbox (facing the mailbox, right hand side).

The Board did not recommend changing the current mailbox numbers.  They only wish to provide an alternative to residence wanting reflective numbers.
