At the September meeting of
the Board of Directors of the Cypress Landing Homeowners Association, passed a
motion to only open the Bay Club Bar during special functions.
The history behind the
motion:
A recommendation was made
by management during the August Board of Directors Meeting to closing the Bar on
Saturday, Sunday and possibly Friday nights when no scheduled functions were
taking place.
When reviewing the bar
sales over the past eight months, one will notice little to no sales on the
nights when functions are not scheduled. Most nights, we do not even cover the
cost of paying the Bartenders. Reviewing previous year’s sales and previous
Board minutes, this has been an issue for several years. Similar discussions
have occurred during recent Ad Hoc meeting concluding the same. We could save
money and continue the current revenue by closing the bar when HOA or special
functions are not taking place.
