We have received many questions regarding how to
contribute to the BCCC Foundation Cypress Landing Scholarship Fund.
Ms. Helen Sommerkamp has composed the following for your information and
consideration.
CL Scholarship Fund at BCCC
To join the
effort to establish and endowment at the Beaufort County Community
College for needy, qualified, students, please make your check in any
amount, payable to BCCC Foundation with the memo Cypress Landing
Scholarship. Send or deliver to the HOA office, 100 Marina Drive,
c/o Chris Harris, HOA treasurer.
This effort to address a “great need” in Beaufort County is sponsored by
the Cypress Landing Master Homeowners Association and the Cultural and
Education Committee.
Donations received to date stands at $3,440. If 264 additional
households could donate $25.00 each, our goal would be reached.
From the interest on this endowment, one student will be able to attend
BCCC for two semesters. These benefits will be in place forever.
The endowment to generate the scholarships in perpetuity will be
publicly presented, by Cypress Landing residents, to BCCC on December 7
during their 40th Anniversary Celebration.
