The ADHOC Community Tree Management Review Committee is
hereby chartered to develop a comprehensive Tree Management Program for
the community that recognizes:
a. A primary attraction of this
community is the park-like setting created by the trees in the community
b. The needs and concerns of the
individual property owners regarding the landscaping and protection of
their residences must be considered
c. The appearance of the Cypress
Landing Golf Club has a major impact on the value and attractiveness of
this community
d. The intent of the Covenants must be
maintained.
The following requirements, policy and guidelines currently exist:
Protective Covenants
(Section 2, Paragraph H.4 (Building and Site Restrictions)
Protective
Covenants (Section 5, Paragraph C (4) (ACC Standards for Approval)
Tree Cutting
Guidelines, Pine Beetle Policy, and Application for Tree Removal
(Revised and Approved March 27, 2007)
The ADHOC Community Tree Management Review Committee will:
a. Develop
a proposed Tree Management Program that preserves the park-like setting
of the community, including the Cypress Landing Golf Club, where
appropriate.
b.
Recommend changes to the existing policies and guidelines
c.
Prepare for property owners an informational document which identifies
the trees that a suitable to this community and climate as existing
trees reach maturity and must be removed.
d.
Create an administrative structure to implement Tree Mgt Program.
The committee shall be made up of the following members with a
designated member of the Board serving as liaison:
1. A representative from the Building and
Grounds Committee
2. A representative from the Environmental
Committee
3. A representative from the Architectural
Control Committee
4. A representative from the Golf Club
5. One or two representatives from the
community at large
The target date for the ad hoc committee to present their findings and
recommendations to the CLMHOA Board of Directors is June 1, 2008.
