Treasurer’s Report
Della Latta read the Treasurer’s Report.  There is a balance of $3,166.00 as of 5/31/08.

Welcome Committee Report
Kathy Young reported that 3 new families had moved into Cypress Landing.

Pot Luck
No report since the May 16th pot luck was cancelled. The next pot luck is scheduled for September 12th.

Last Event Report
The Memorial Day Parade and Picnic went very well.  (See Event Report from Lynn Sanders and Kay Harris in file).  Members of the committee reported “it was the best parade ever”.  The 3 locations for water worked well, also having a golf cart available was terrific.  Next year remember to advertise that the bar is open – people were not aware of this and also advertise that the CL Jazz band will be playing.  The ceremony went well, the picnic went well and the caterers were great.  There were 163 people signed up for the picnic.

Next Event
Dock of the Bay (9/1/08) Mary Kimball will Chair this event with Sharon Larkin assisting.  We need to book the bartender, Bay Club and Marina for this event.

Old Business
Kathy Young will have the keys to the closets at the Bay Club.  Each Chairperson should obtain the keys from Kathy prior to their event.

Della Latta handed out the Event Report and Policy Guidelines to those members who had not previously received one.

New Business
The Cypress Landing Women’s Club asked the Social Committee if we were in need of any items. We mentioned that we would really need approximately 80 water goblets.  The Women’s Club will meet tomorrow and will let us know if this request was approved.

Mary Lou Sholl reported that on June 15th MidLife Crysis will hold a free outdoor concert on the lawn outside of the Bay Club from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Residents will be asked to bring their lawn chairs, a blanket and their own picnic dinner.  The bar will be open and will be set up downstairs as well as upstairs.  In case of rain it will be held inside.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:40 p.m.  The next meeting will be 8/6/08.

Respectfully submitted,

Sharon Larkin, Co-Chair, Secretary
