ALUMINUM CAN RECYCLING – Hank reports that pickups are covered. Kay
Graham and Dave Russman can transport when needed.
HIGHWAY CLEANUP – Bob Wright reported that 13 people collected roadside
trash on the August collection date; 13 bags of trash collected.
Next collection date is October 13th at 8:00am.
Cypress Landing received a recognition plaque from NC Highway Department
for 10 years of service. Congratulations!
OLD BUSINESS:
Master Gardener supported seminar for homeowner planned for either 9/26
or 10/3 from 7:00 to 8:00
Tree ID walk discussed and planned for next spring
CL marina – NC clean marina program
NEW BUSINESS:
Installation of native trees and shrubs planned for upper pond
Committee asked for ideas about subjects?speakers for future CL lectures
Committee members sought for Env Com table before HIOA meeting on 9/15
ad hoc committee formed with HOA regarding advice about tree
cutting/saving – Kay Graham and Judy Keohane
